Solad (Sold, Soldo)
Dubrovnik's copper coins were forged from 1678 to 1797. Its value was 5 minca or 1/6 of Dubrovnik dinar. On the obverse, above the city walls, there is a bust of St. Vlaho giving blessings with his right hand and holding a bishop's staff in his left. The reverse bears an image of Jesus holding and orb with a cross in his left hand and giving a sign of blessing with his right. Around him are stars and on to the left and right of him is Dubrovnik's coat of arms.
